The Hardest Lesson in App Development
When I started building apps, I thought coding was the challenge. I quickly realized it wasn’t the code, it was understanding real users.
I once spent weeks perfecting a feature I thought was amazing. Launch day came… users ignored it. Engagement dropped. I had built for myself, not for them.
Here’s what I learned:
Users don’t care about fancy features
Real feedback matters more than assumptions
Iterating fast is better than polishing forever
Now, before I write a single line of code, I make sure I understand what problem I am solving.
Lesson learned: Coding is easy. Designing for people is hard.
If you are building a product and want to discuss validating ideas, user research, or feature prioritization, I’m happy to connect.
